"Digestion"

'Cube' Gallery, Jerusalem, 'Manofim' Festival, curated by Shira Friedman2022

Sculpture Size: 180x80x5 cm Materials: wood veneer, white sand, epoxy, threaded polystyrene, plywood

The work was inspired by the house of an organism that feeds on the foundations of a human house, a place within a place. Termites are harmful insects that dig holes in the walls of a house, digest the material inside it and use their secretions to build channels over the walls. The work is the result of excavating and destroying the foundations of a door-like structure alongside rebuilding from the excavated materials. The holes created as a result of the 'digestion' process are related to the digestion process of the human body
