"Sinking"

Ramat Gan Museum of Israeli Art, curator Svetlana Ringold, 2021

Place-dependent installation. A flooded and sunken boat sunk to the floor of the space. The architectural Bauhaus structure of the museum, in which the shape of the boat replicates, is reflected and replicated again within it. Out of the sinking boat tower masts and rickety strings. The black tar that floods it acts as a black mirror that creates a space of infinity and time. In its depths the delicate construction is doubled and dissolves like a white net. The installation contains within it a break, a sunset and a potential movement that does not really occur but out of the black bile and the blindness of the depths emanates the light.
